>> PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMAS
Objective:
The professional diploma program (specialist or expert) offers the student training in the hands-on, job specific skills that are required for most positions. When an employee changes jobs, it is not unusual to encounter new tasks and duties which are not entirely familiar. Not only are the tasks and duties unfamiliar, but also the way in which they are supposed to conduct themselves. The specialist or expert diploma is specially designed to provide employees with the know-how and logistics for a wide array of professions.
Academic requirements & duration: The specialist or expert degree program is usually completed in 3 to 6 months at an average of 10 weekly hours of study. Because this program is made up of a core curriculum, modifications in the course content are not contemplated. The final exam consists of a 15 to 35 pages report based on all the textbooks covered in the course. Specialist: 150 to 240 hours of study - 15 to 24 academic credits. Expert: 240 to 390 hours of study - 24 to 39 academic credits.
Admission requirements: All applicants with more than 19 years of age are eligible for enrollment in the specialist/expert professional diploma program.
Completion of program by full validation: Students interested in obtaining the specialist or expert professional diploma by a full validation of their experience and knowledge must fill out the application form entirely (pages 1 to 3). The cost of the full validation exam is equal to the cost of the degree program. In the event that revalidation is denied, the candidate can complete the program the usual way.
